Payday Cash Loans for Everyone

Monday, March 31st, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alex_Fir]Alex Fir Payday loans are unsecured loans. You complete an application, wait for a reply and, if you are approved, the money is delivered to your checking account. There is a series of steps involved in payday loans online. A number of payday loans promote loans up to $100 and the borrower only repays $110. This means that you pay $10 to borrow a loan amount of $100. This sounds reasonable; however, the goal is to get a new customer and after he/she is accepted, the price increases. Payday loans are excellent option if you have emergencies, such as shut-off notices. The loans are extended to your next paycheck, or extended up to 14 days. There are lenders who allot 18 days for reimbursements. After you complete the application online, a lender will contact you. If you are applying online, the lender will contact via email or phone. In most cases that will send you an email. A number of payday lenders say you do not need to fax any information to them. But, lots of the lenders that say no faxing will request documents, such as bank statements and void checks. After the documents are faxed and the information is verified, you possibly will receive your money in your direct deposit banking account. Often, the lenders claiming $10 per $100 will increase the rates of the loan, up to $30 per $100. As you can see, payday lenders are out for the cash. It is acceptable to charge a small fee for lending money, however when someone charges $30 per $100, we have greed. When you are applying for a payday loan online, you should read carefully the loans terms and conditions, as well as making sure the site is secured before giving any information. Pastors and Priests Say the Darndest Things

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

By Dennis Diehl Every once in a while there comes one of those moments when, listening to a “Man of God,” you can hardly believe the words, concepts, teachings and ideas that seem to flow so easily out of their mouths. Recently I was listening to a rather rabid radio preacher discuss the problem David was having on his own roof looking down at Bathsheba taking a bath on hers. He spoke of lust and murder, desire and sin but kept using the phrase “Bathsheba was taking a bath.” It struck me that he was going to say something really stupid. He did. Finally he went Biblically Brain Dead, and said what I was hoping he would not. “In fact..” Uh oh, he’s gonna say it. “In fact, that’s why her name was BATHsheba…she was taking a bath.” Idiot. I wrote him and asked if her taking a shower would have gotten her named “SHOWERSheba,” but he didn’t respond. While many funny and ignorant thoughts can flow out of the mouth of a man who is not thinking his presentation through, or has not done a very good job at searching out the background of it all, there are others who say freakin scary things in the name of their vision and God. It is these types that need to be at least ignored and perhaps confronted to stop the foolishness. Tim LaHaye, author of the popular “Left Behind” books is a case in point. Writer of Christian doomsday fiction; graduate of ultrafundamentalist Bob Jones University; founding member of the young Earth Institute for Creation Research; cofounder with Jerry Falwell of Moral Majority; author of slanderous books and tracts denouncing “Secular Humanism”; founder of American Coalition for Traditional Values “I’ll tell you what is wrong with America. We don’t have enough of God’s ministers running the country.”– Rev Tim LaHaye, address, Religious Roundtable breakfast, New York Times September 8, 1984, quoted from Albert J Menendez and Edd Doerr, The Great Quotations on Religious Freedom Do you know what chaos this would produce? Do you understand that getting ministers and pastors to cooperate together and see the world through the same filters is like herding cats? Too many chiefs and not enough indians for this to work. Besides, I have seen how they run their churches…forget it. “Why not admit that the words “separation” and “church” do not even appear in the US Constitution,” he added. “Instead, they do appear in Article 52 of the Constitution of the Soviet Union.”– Rev Tim LaHaye, quoted from Guy Manchester, “The fantasy world of Tim LaHaye,” Freedom Writer, summer 2000 This one must have intrigued the President as he said himself he hoped to bridge the gap between Church and State. Boys, these two aren’t connected in our government and the ones that connect them often have execution Fridays for the unfaithful, non-believers and disobedient. Why not just admit that some things in life are none of the minister or churches business? “Most of all, I believe God has chosen to bless this series. In doing so, he’s giving the country and maybe the world, one last, big wake-up call before the events transpire.”– Rev Tim LaHaye, in an article in the Southern California Christian Times, quoted from Guy Manchester, “Tim LaHaye: the man behind the bestsellers,” Freedom Writer, Sept.-Oct. 2000 There have been so many “last big wake-up calls” the alarm clock has died. Bible fiction does not actually point to the truth of any one particular topic. Someone’s God also must have chosen to bless the events of 911 for them to work out beyond their wildest dreams. This is one my favorite quotes from a minister turned pseudo-scientist so that he might defend the indefensible and explain something in a way that fits his views, but is not so. Rev Walter LangFounder, Bible-Science Association “We really have dinosaurs today, without any question. You just need the right weather conditions, as I see it, to get huge creatures. And in the ocean, of course, we have huge creatures…. this is where the plesiosauruses seem to be today, and perhaps also this fire breathing dragon is still down there — very rare, but occasionally there.”– Rev Walter Lang, quoted from American Atheists, “From the Mouths of Creationists” I love the “without any question,” because he knows this. The “as I see it” is a bit of a giveaway and of course the words “seem” and “perhaps” are big helps to show “we REALLY have dinosaurs today.” When you have doubts use dogmatic phrases and leave wiggle room words too. This is how one explains fiction in such as way as one does not realize they are being preached to and not taught anything that is true. Preaching and truth are not generally connected. Popes, at times, can say things that later make the masses wonder what planet they are on or in what way is this man’s religion similar to that of Jesus’ PrPope Leo XIII (1810-1903)Roman Catholic Pope from 1878 to 1903, who wrote the first modern papal statement on social and economic theory “The death sentence is a necessary and efficacious means for the Church to attain its end when rebels act against it and disturbers of the ecclesiastical unity, especially obstinate heretics and heresiarchs, cannot be restrained by any other penalty from continuing to derange the ecclesiastical order and impelling others to all sorts of crime … When the perversity of one or several is calculated to bring about the ruin of many of its children it is bound effectively to remove it, in such wise that if there be no other remedy for saving its people it can and must put these wicked men to death.” — Pope Leo XIII, advocating death to all heretics and teachers of false doctrine — showing that the end justifies the means even in the twentieth century, in Lloyd M Graham, Deceptions and Myths of the Bible (1975), p. 468, quoted from Helen Ellerbe, The Dark Side of Christian History Death for those that disagree has always been the spiritual counseling of choice for some men of faith. How easy it is to jumble the injuncitons of the Old Testament to kill this or that rebel for reasons rather stupid, like not resting on the Sabbath, into the governing ideas of a New Testament hierarchy. Death for not resting…sure, makes perfect sense to me. How much better just singing “You in your small corner, and I in mine,” and leave each other alone? “All Catholics must make themselves felt as active elements in daily political life in the countries where they live. They must penetrate, wherever possible, in the administration of civil affairs; must constantly exert the utmost vigilance and energy to prevent the usages of liberty from going beyond the limits fixed by God’s law. All Catholics should do all in their power to cause the constitutions of states and legislation to be modeled on the principles of the true Church.”– Leo XIII, Encyclical, Immortale Dei, 1885, quoted from Albert J Menendez and Edd Doerr, The Great Quotations on Religious Freedom Wow…I want to live in this world of Theocracy! Americans today are aghast at the Theocratic rule the Taliban or Islam in general seems to insist upon, but many are only upset that it is not a Christian Theocracy. The only ones who win in a Theocracy are those who run it and hold themselves above it all. Anytime a man’s answer to the question, “Well who watches over you and corrects you?” is, “God does”…run. “If unbridled licence of speech and writing be granted to all, nothing will remain sacred and inviolate; even the highest and truest mandates of nature, justly held to be the common and noblest heritage of the human race, will not be spared. Thus, truth being gradually obscured by darkness, pernicious and manifold error, as too often happens, will easily prevail.– Leo XIII, Encyclical letter of 20 June 1888, translated by John A Ryan and Francis J Boland in Catholic Principles of Politics (New York, 1948, p. 174). Leo would have loved the internet. Speech and writing should only be granted to those that speak and write in ways to “propel the propaganda” as Mr. Bush noted. What a church calls “darkness” is really light being brought to a topic and what it calls error, is often just that which contradicts the darkness the church pushes upon the masses century after century. How many times has the Catholic Church had to retract it’s scientifically ignorant dictates and ideas? How many times has Science had to admit the Church was correct after all? Now you gotta love this Preacher… “One day in seven, the Sabbath was made holy unto God and set aside solely for his worship (in ancient Israel). There was no choice about it. In those first days there was no such thing as religious liberty in Israel. A man had to go to worship whether he liked it or not. The fact that he didn’t like the priests didn’t matter … The excuse that he was intellectually superior to the congregation of Israel didn’t work … Religious liberty was given no thought in Israel. I sometimes wonder if it isn’t given too much thought in our own America.”– Rev W D Lewis, quoted from E Haldeman-Julius, “The Meaning Of Atheism” (rev. C Walker, 2001) The only time one can give such things too much thought is when religious freedom seems to be an important concept. It is freedom of ALL religions Reverand! Perhaps a Freedom FROM Religion is also a part of that too. [Excerpt]“I shall never be in full sympathy with our system of compulsory education until there is set up side by side with it a system of compulsory religion.”– Rev W D Lewis, quoted from E Haldeman-Julius, “The Meaning Of Atheism” (rev. C Walker, 2001) How about compulsory spirituality studies instead of compulsory religion? This way there might be a chance that one God awful religion won’t emerge to smite those that just aren’t into it. “I shall never be in full sympathy with our system of irreligious education. Why should we be compelled to attend and support our schools if there is nothing that can be done to compel us to attend and support our churches? … If education is absolutely necessary for our community life, so is religion. Or yet why should we be compelled to support the idea of government if we are at liberty to treat the idea of God with contempt? … You will never make a full success of a compulsory government or a compulsory education until you give the same dignity to religion and make it compulsory; at any rate compulsory enough to make it respected throughout the land. The nation that plays fast and loose with its idea of God will soon or late play fast and loose with its idea of education and its idea of government…. If God doesn’t matter, then nothing else matters, and all the compulsions of life might just as well be set aside.”– Rev W D Lewis, quoted from E Haldeman-Julius, “The Meaning Of Atheism” (rev. C Walker, 2001) Oh I don’t know…freedom of choice comes to my mind. Being programmed by others and made to conform to their memes and ignorant perspectives just does not inspire me. Perhaps I just don’t get it. I guess I can’t resist the comments of Joseph Lieberman.US Senator, Vice-Presidential candidate (2000). “The Constitution promises freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. We are, after all not just another nation, but “one nation under God.”– Joseph Lieberman, campaign speech at Notre Dame University on October 24, 2000, quoted from American Atheists, “Lieberman Again Claims ‘No Freedom from Religion’ in Notre Dame Address: Cites Judeo-Christian Roots of America” Hmmmm, sounds like there is a religion out there he might have in mind that we are not free from should it be imposed. We’d have the freedom to practice that one, but to be free of it. Or is it just me? “We know that the Constitution wisely separates church from state, but remember: the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.”– Joseph Lieberman, campaign speech at Fellowship Chapel, Detroit, August 27, 2000, quoted from AANEWS #808 by American Atheists, August 28, 2000 I don’t think Mr. Lieberman knows anything about this wise separation of church and state. Still sounds like there is a religion out there we are not free from when it selected as best for us. “We shouldn’t] indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion.”– Joseph Lieberman, quoted in Natalie Angier, “Confessions of a Lonely Atheist,” New York Times Magazine, January 14, 2001; Angier called this “atheism baiting,” for which Lieberman received “the lightest possible slap on the wrist from his more secularized Jewish counterparts” The idea that morality only springs from the practice of religion is erroneous. The “morality” of the Old Testament for Judaism, and much of the “morality” of the New Testament for Christians is suspect and often pathetic in it’s application. While time and space would fail to show just how deranged and perhaps mentally ill Martin Luther was, for all his Christian influence, one has to love this way spreading the truth according to Luther. Martin Luther, after admonishing Philip of Hesse to tell a “good stout lie,” defends his advice in the following words: “What would it matter if, for the sake of the Christian Church, one were to tell a big lie?”– Martin Luther, quoted by Moehlman The Story of the Ten Commandments (p. 269); narrative from Joseph Lewis The Ten Commandments (p. 558) Women take a horrible beating under fundamentalist religion and this attitude, while Mormon here, is typical of many if not most Baptist and Fundamentalist ministers. Bruce McConkieMormon Leader; former member of The First Council of The Seventy “Womans primary place is in the home, where she is to rear children and abide by the righteous counsel of her husband.”– Bruce McConkie, quoted from, John Johnson, Why I Am Not a Mormon It never dawns on anyone to ask what the woman is to do if her husband is an idiot or she is obviously more intelligent than he is. Popular Christian fundamentalist, yet somewhat boring of speech and grim of delivery, Joyce Meyer notes…”The notion of separating church and state with such policies as disallowing prayer in public schools] is a deception from Satan.”– Joyce Meyer, at the Christian Coalition’s 2002 Rally for Solidarity with [the modern nation of] Israel, quoted from Laurie Kellman, “Christian Coalition Hosts Rally to Boost Its Profile” (Associated Press: October 12, 2002) Now forget that the actual Bible tells Christians that when they pray they are to pray privately in a closet and not be seen of men, so that the “God that sees in secret will reward them openly.” Never mind that the ones Jesus bashed for public prayer were the Pharisees, though I think in real historical fact, they were a likeable group and not as portrayed in the New Testament. I always got teary eyed when the football team said the Lord’s Prayer in 5 seconds and gave that big grunt at the end. :) Well, I believe we get the point. It is important that, if we listen to what is said in Church, or by those that speak for God, we don’t find ourselves agreeing with the disagreeable and promoting ignorance and foolish science, politics and ways that we simply must be according to the Pastor or Priest, as if he really knew. Our country is full of Christian Whipper Uppers. These are men, mostly, who yell and tell us all just what God is thinking and what the times in which we live really mean. They are most likely wrong, again, as the many before them, but the money is good. Pay attention and never say “amen” when you don’t mean it or you find yourself wincing at what was just said. Where to Find Bulk Organic Vegetable Seed

Friday, March 28th, 2008

By Anna Hart Growing organic vegetables from seed is a great way to combine healthy diet and healthy exercise. Most people want to start small, but maybe you already did that. Maybe you loved your small organic garden so much you decided to expand it into a small farm. Perhaps you and your friends have set aside land for a community garden, and need bulk organic vegetable seed to share. Maybe youve decided to begin marketing bulk organic vegetable seeds. You have several potential sources for bulk organic vegetable seeds. We cannot recommend any one specific source, and offer the information below only to help you in your search. Local Nursery or Garden Store Nurseries near your home may sell bulk organic vegetable seed. Check your local phone directory, and call a few. If they themselves do not carry bulk organic vegetable seed, they may be able to tell you who does. Garden stores in your area are another potential source of bulk organic vegetable seed. Home centers that sell supplies for home repairs often have a section for gardening. Large, discount box stores usually have garden centers, too. If you live in a rural area, you may find bulk organic vegetable seed at a farm supply store. Again, ask for referrals if the store does not have what you need. Seed Catalogs You may be able to order bulk organic vegetable seed from seed catalogs, and have it delivered to your address. Companies such as Burpee Seed Company have many kinds of organic vegetable seed in their catalog, and will no doubt be able to fill your order for bulk organic vegetable seed. Online Seed Companies The Internet, a potential source for so many things, has several seed companies that offer bulk organic vegetable seed. While we make no recommendation 1. Seeds of Change is a well known supplier of quality bulk organic vegetable seed. Many who do organic farming, or have large organic gardens, rely on this seed company. 2. Snow Seed Organics in California is another company you may want to check for bulk organic vegetable seed. The website says this company is the first fully certified organic seed dealer west of the U.S. Rockies. 3. Johnnys Seed Company has been selling bulk organic vegetable seed and organic farming aids since 1973. This company also is a certified organic handler and processor, able to meet the new USDA organic requirements for the organic seeds they sell. Those are only examples. There are many companies online from whom you can order bulk organic vegetable seed, and have it delivered often free of charge but study each site carefully, and look for recommendations in online forums. CAUTION: Before you purchase any bulk organic vegetable seed, you should be sure it is certified organic. You will want to ask about the supplier’s documentation, including organic certification. This will differ from country to country. In the U.S., ask for: the growers certification number; issue date of certification; date when the annual inspection was completed; name of the inspecting company; and name of the certification director. Some companies, such as Seeds of Change post their Organic Certification online. Before you purchase bulk organic vegetable seed, be sure the grower can warrant the absence of transgenic germplasm. That is, have they proven to the certification director that they have not genetically modified the seed? 2007, Anna Hart. Just How Many Frogs Do I Have to Kiss?

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

By Pirjo Friedman Let this go down in the annals of history; owning, building and running a business and all the training and expertise that goes behind those successful endeavors is nothing compared to the rigorous, energy consuming, flabbergasting if not downright humorous search for a man-made match from heaven. The exercise is a combination litany of experiences that would make even the most ardent professional squirm. Imagine being typically slotted and type-cast into the category of divorced, 54 years of age, mother of three, with a track record of two relationships to chalk up to experience, one of four years and another of two in between frequent trips abroad, much volunteer work on various Boards and still the wholesome pickings are slim. Eventually the expectations begin to tarnish, just a little. The question begs an answer; just how many frogs do I have to kiss? And at what price? Dating stories and experiences would make any psychoanalyst jump up and down at the prospects of gaining more insight into the human experience of relationships or lack thereof and an opportunity to coach an individual through the maze of emotions that surface after each go-around. Perhaps these would be well kept in an A to Z of emotional upsets and how to identify core issues, heal and integrate them. No, it is not a good idea to treat a relationship like a business project. Besides being hard work, the dividends fall short of paying come year-end. Accepting dishonesty and compromising ones self-dignity just to stay in a relationship is probably an issue of self-worth that is thirsting to be addressed. Becoming the good replacement surrogate mother hen is nice if you like being a mother to your children up until the age they are leaving the nest, but it doesnt have to become a life long occupation. That too is a no-no. At some point the boy becomes a man, detaching himself of the apron strings and taking the label broken, need to be fixed off his forehead. I can attest to the fact that it doesnt help to try fix anyone other than yourself. Honesty begins inside. Assistance comes in the form of my children, my personal Board of advisors. In a New Year discussion about what was the best thing I did during the course of the year, the vote was in; breaking up the relationship. All my daughters involve themselves in the process, Never mind the titles, or the business, is he fun? quips the youngest, because the previous one wasnt! Or another time, my daughter and I were enjoying an ice cream cone on the street. Upon reflecting upon the tag line of a dating agency about finding someone suave who doesnt need a broom to sweep you off your feet, my eldest daughter and I observed a man across the road sweeping the street, Oh mom, I dont mind a broom, a tractor, anything at least someone doing something. Laughs are the order of the day when dating agents reveal their tactics for hunting down the perfect frog prince. Like the movie of supermarket lineups as targets for males in the Express line up with small baskets, a clue to the state of their relationships. Then there was the story about the date that was found for me in a well-known coffee shop. A good-looking man who was approached by the matchmaker; was this lovely lady with him his date, partner or acquaintance? Upon submission to the question he was promptly recruited and hitched with his potential suitor, that being me. The whole experience gives a glimpse for divesting the need to be accepted, feeling worthy, realizing the search for and reclaiming the feminine power, the sexual energy or creativity that was lost in the business of being a woman entrepreneur. Being open and spiritual helps. The inner world reveals itself through dreams and intuitions, reliable guides to whether something is worth pursuing or not, natural and easy. Like the time I had a dream with this man who was standing in my bathroom of all places. And me, well I was stark naked of course and feeling just a little shy or uncomfortable in his presence. All he wanted to do was just take me home and we know that home is simply where the heart is. Here I am in all my glory, this is me, this is who I am, real and authentic and open to finding a relationship based on trust, honesty and integrity. Perhaps this is the truth behind a soulmate connection, perhaps someone is finally on the way and maybe, just maybe this is the last frog I need to kiss Dr Pirjo Friedman, business professional runs a successful Dental Practice and Miriam Sanua, “Soul Regeneration Coach” work together. With Pirjo’s experiences out in the trenches, Miriam acts as wordsmith in documenting these experiences. Dr Friedman breathes life into the concept that you can be a successful businesswoman, spiritual in life’s approaches and leading example to family. Wedding Gift Ideas

Monday, March 24th, 2008

By Jennifer Bailey A marriage is a joyous moment in the life of two individuals. A couple shares this beautiful personal moment with their near and dear ones, who rejoice in their happiness. A wedding gift is a tangible depiction of the feelings of the giver for the couple. A gift has to be carefully chosen, keeping the couples individual tastes, likes and dislikes in mind, if it is intended to serve its purpose. Nothing is more distasteful and insulting than an inconsiderately given gift. A gifts value is not determined by its monetary value, but it must communicate the givers thought appropriately and adequately. While the market abounds in numerous gift options and alternatives, selecting the right gift for the couple can be a challenge sometimes. While one can overhaul the market, surf the net and burn a hole in the purse, choosing the perfect gift requires some thinking and a little homework. A giver should always strive to give something unique and different. Personalized gifts always stand out and make a personal statement on behalf of the giver. A special memento, decorative crystal, or a paired watch with the couples names engraved in it along with the wedding date is something memorable for the wedding couple. For very close relatives, a hand-made scrapbook complete with family pictures, or a family tree platter with hand-painted pictures of family members along with their names, signature photo quilts, or customized ceramic plates with the couples pictures and wedding dates etched on it are a few ideal gift options. In case of a hard-core golf fan, one can give a golf set with the couples names engraved on it. A Bible with the couples names and wedding dates engraved on it is an ideal gift for a spiritually inclined couple. It is necessary to be aware and informed about a couples interests, hobbies, tastes and the like. A gift can be given based on this kind of information. Romantic gifts like photo pillows with the couples portraits on it can also be given. One can also give gift certificates, home dcor items, classic gift items like crystal and silverware, or various wedding mementos like a polymer clay image or metal candles, just right for the mantel and keepsakes. The choice of exchanging gifts for each other rests on the bride and the groom. Couples can exchange framed love poems, engraved jewelry or even unconventional items like a vintage car, for those who can afford it. A thoughtful gift certificate to a relaxing spa or a recreational resort is just the right way for the bride or bridegroom to express their gratitude and love for their parents. It is the thought that matters, and mere framed poetry or a handwritten letter to the parent is also as valuable, if not more. Parents can give bridal showers, a party to acquaint the couple to the family, or some personalized gift items, including gift certificates. Thank-you gifts need not be expensive, but should cater to individual taste. It should be given according to the kind of relationship one shares with the guests. Herbal Skin Care

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Josh Riverside Herbs have been used in skin care from times immemorial. Ancient Ayurvedic texts in India speak of the use various herbs, such as, basil, turmeric, and saffron in skin care preparations. Herbs are now being increasingly used in the manufacture of skin care products across the world because of their healing and rejuvenating properties. Some brands do not even use artificial preservatives in their products, instead depending on the inherent quality of certain herbs to preserve themselves. Today, aloe vera is one of the most popular herbs, hailed for its skin-soothing and anti-aging properties. It is used in cleansers, face washes, massage creams, sunscreens, and anti-acne products. Tea tree oil is also widely used in skin care products for its antiseptic and anti-acne properties. Ginseng, sage, rosemary, witch hazel, chamomile, calendula, and arnica are also popular. They are used in the manufacture of skin care products for different skin types, based on their properties. Basil and mint are used in acne skin care because of their anti-bacterial and refreshing properties. Fresh basil or mint juice can be applied everyday on pimples. Turmeric is another essential ingredient in many skin care products because of its antiseptic quality. It ensures a glowing, blemish-free complexion. Fresh turmeric fingers can be ground with a little milk and applied on the face and the body. Pure saffron is widely used in traditional medicinal and skin care preparations in India and the Middle East. A few almonds and saffron strands can be soaked in milk and then ground into a paste with the milk. Mixed with rosewater, this face mask nourishes and revitalizes skin. These are simple herbal skin care preparations that can be made by everybody at home. However, elaborate herbal remedies should not be attempted at home without proper knowledge of herbs and their effects. To conclude, certain herbs are very beneficial for the skin and products containing them can be used with good effect. However, products of only reputed brands should be used, as the wrong mix of herbs could create problems. Here’s The Real Reason Why Dieting Won’t Help You To Lose Body Fat

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Vernita Sherman You may not like what Im about to say, but dieting alone will not help you to lose weight. Watching your diet alone is not going to yield results unless it is coupled with proper exercise. You have to make a conscious effort for this. And the solution for this is a workout routine. Yes there are people that lose weight just from cutting down on their fat intake, carbohydrate intake, protein intake, or calories in general; but have you seen the results under their clothes? It is not a pretty sight! Without exercise (weight training in particular) your body has no way of toning up, and you could be left with near sagging skin with a non attractive shape. Also, losing weight from diets is mostly water weight loss and not fat loss. Do you want to lose water from your body and become dehydrated? Or do you want to lose Fat? The absolute only way to burn a high percentage of body fat is through exercise. The only reason why anyone should choose a diet plan is to see which one can help complement their workout program. The diet plan you choose should be one that you can stick to for the rest of your life, and it should be healthy for your body. Diet is such a short term word, so think of dieting as changing your eating habits for the long term. Your eating habits should provide you with enough protein for your muscles and enough carbohydrates for energy as well as other vital nutrients. Stay away from diets that focus on losing weight quickly… Not only are they unhealthy, but most of the weight you lose is water weight. Once again, do you want to lose water or fat? If you want to lose fat, you most definitely will not be losing it quickly unless you know how to burn fat. Being that you are losing mostly water on these quick weight loss diets, you will soon find out that you will gain the weight back just as quick as you lost it (if not faster). You must eat! If your body thinks you are starving, it will feed on your muscle tissue for energy. It is not enough to just take in enough calories each day for energy, but it is how often you feed your body the calories. In order for your metabolism to function correctly, you must eat at least 5-6 meals per day. The total calories of the 5-6 meals should equal the amount of your daily calorie intake. Eating throughout the day, gives your metabolism fuel to keep burning your stored body fat. That said, you should still cut down on your calorie intake to lose weight, but you also must know how many calories per day is right for your body. Stay away from diets that say you must eat protein and carbohydrates separately… Protein and carbohydrates work together within your body; they are team players, not individuals. Think of it like this: Mr. Protein needs to take a taxi to get to the muscles cells to help build and condition them. Mr. Insulin is the taxi and Mr. Protein is not capable of calling a taxi, so Mr. Carbohydrate will always call Mr. Insulin to transport Mr. Protein to the muscles. The muscles cells love Mr. Protein, but they also must have Mr. Carbohydrate for energy. Mr. Carbohydrate is very outgoing and there is a lot of him to go around, but too much of him is bad. On the other hand, not enough of him is also bad. Muscle cells only need enough carbohydrates to fill the glycogen stores. If more carbohydrates are present, it will get stored as fat. Eating protein and carbohydrates will slow down the absorption of carbohydrates which means that your body will have time to burn off the extra carbohydrates before they are stored as fat. So why not just significantly lower your carbohydrate consumption? Because too much protein and very low carbohydrates will cause you to overburden your liver and kidneys; could cause dehydration (most people do not realize that metabolizing protein requires you to drink more water); and your body will not get the right amount of its preferred source of energy-carbohydrates. So you see, eating these two nutrients together allows your body to function like it should. The key is to know how much carbohydrates and protein is the right amount to satisfy your bodys needs. Bottom Line when it comes to dieting and weight loss: Losing weight is easy. Losing weight by losing fat the healthy way is more of a challenge. Don’t get caught up into just losing weight. Understand that you need to stay healthy at the same time that you are losing weight by losing fat. This article was written by Vernita Sherman of Ultimate Fat Burning Secrets. The It Factor

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

By Nan S. Russell American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, periodically remarks about the “it” factor when assessing contestants. It seems to be one of those nebulous, undefined and subjective attributes one either has or doesn’t have. And it falls into the category of you-know-it-when-you-see-it. He’s right. You do know it when you see it and that’s true in the workplace, too. Some people call it passion. And while that’s part of it, it goes beyond the intense driving focus associated with passion. When I think of the hundreds of people I’ve hired in my career, there was one spark that yielded an unwavering yes decision; one spark that made me stop interviewing and put together a compelling offer; one spark worth searching unrelentingly to find. What’s that spark? Desire. Not a person’s desire for the job, although interest and enthusiasm is always a plus. But their intention or aim; their desire for greatness. I use that word carefully. I don’t mean greatness in the context of being a great or famous or distinguished person, or climbing a hierarchy to achieve status, power or influence. Rather, the desire for greatness I’m referring to is tied to the seeds of possibility sprouting through their talents and abilities. You see, these people with the “it” factor desire to live their life’s potential. They aren’t out to win. They’re out to become the unique person they are, to the fullest extent of their gifts. It’s that desire that fuels their drive, motivation and persistence. It’s that desire that keeps them learning and growing and stretching. It’s that desire that makes them exceptional. You see, most of us don’t desire our own greatness. We cheat ourselves from becoming ourselves. We squander our unique gifts by copying other people’s approaches and styles. We mimic others’ successes thinking that if we follow their path or do what they do, we’ll end up at the same destination. But emulating others doesn’t unleash our individual uniqueness. People with the “it” factor know the only path to their greatness is one of their own making. That’s why you know them when you see them. These are people who stand out like a tulip in a rose garden. Russian-born choreographer George Balanchine defined them well when he said, “I don’t want people who want to dance. I want people who have to dance.” But here’s the thing. The “it” factor is not a limited edition attribute. The desire to live our own greatness is available for each of us if we tap into it. It’s a personal choice we can make. That’s what winning at working is all about: finding your it factor. (c) 2006 Nan S. Russell. All rights reserved. Natural Ingredients for Beauty

Monday, March 17th, 2008

By Teresa L. Natures The definition of natural or organic depends on your focus, but some define it as of, relating to, or derived from living organisms. The chemists version uses the word to designate carbon compounds, and that also plays into our daily lives. But what do most people think of when you say natural or organic? Another definition is simple, healthful, close to nature. Sure, that part fits too. Yet another definition is constituting an integral part of a whole. Mother Nature supplies nutrients from decaying matter be it plant, animal or even mineral. Infomercials continually tell us that health and beauty come through acquiring a new gadget, ingesting potent supplements, studying a fashionable book, or following the diet du jour. Many people are confused by the competing market claims and dont know who to believe. Frustration drives many to try the latest new and improved product, hoping for quick results. The bad news is that this rarely works. The good news is that if you take care of your body and soul, by using natural products which have no man-made chemicals, you can help yourself feel and look better. There are many natural bath and body shops, one located in Phoenix, Arizona: www.NaturesDNA.com, they sell anything from an all natural soap bar to more exquisite teas. * Teresa L. of Natures DNA, LLC does not give medical advice, diagnose diseases or suggest treatments. 10 Simple Tactics To Improve Your Business

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

By Leslie Sprankling These ten simple tactics are just that, simple. Each one is a nil cost or low cost ways to improve your business and together they form a formidable armory of weapons at your disposal to make your business grow. So, read, study and think about them all so that you can devise the best ways to implement them in your business. Here then are ten simple tactics to improve your business. 1. Concentrate your efforts on those people who are most likely to buy from you. If you sell only apples, dont waste your time on people who really want to buy oranges. Qualify the people who come to you (your prospects) and pre-qualify the viewers and readers of your ads so that you dont spend all day dealing with lookers and tire kickers. When you qualify the inquiries as they come in, youll be able to spend the majority of your time with people who want or need your product or service, want it now and have the ability to pay for it now. All others are just a waste of your time. 2. Get connected to your customers, at least the top 20% who may produce as much as 80% of your business. Get in touch with these ones personally and stay in touch with them regularly. Cultivate them and reward them for their loyalty to you. After all, these are the ones who provide the bulk of your income. However, do not neglect the rest of your customers. Assign members of your staff or sales force to look after them as their personal customer care officer as these ones, with proper attention have the potential to join the top 20%. 3. Follow up with all qualified prospects, not with blatant sales blurbs or pressure tactics, but do so with additional information on the product or service they inquired about, or to provide free advice, some additional benefits or solutions to their problems. You can offer a free booklet, tips etc or ways to assist in meeting their desired goals. Never, never, never give them a sales pitch without at least offering help, advice or a solution. 4. Dont take it for granted that your customers and prospects know all the benefits of doing business with you, compared with your competition. The fact is, unless you tell them, they dont know, and couldnt care less about you. Customers and prospective customers are selfish people, they want whats best for them, not you. Think about this for a moment, as a prospective customer, about to spend your dollars on something you want. Do you care about the person youre doing business with? Or do you want to know Whats in it for me? Well your customers are the same, so spell out to them all the advantages and benefits of doing business with you instead of your competitor over the road or down the street. This means telling about your great warranty or guarantee, your extended hours of business, your 24/7 home service, your lower prices, your greater range of products, sizes, colors etc., your uniqueness and whatever else puts you a step ahead of your competition. Even if you dont do anything differently, tell em what you do because they probably dont know that your competitors do it too. 5. Spend whatever time and resources are needed to determine your customers Marginal Net Worth. This is the amount, in dollars, that a typical customer is worth to you over the duration of the time he does business with you. Without this valuable information you could be handing most of your business over to your competitors. In simple terms a customers Marginal Net Worth (or LifeTime Value) is the average profit on each purchase, multiplied by the number of times in a year that he buys from you, multiplied by the number of years he stays your customer. As an example, if a customers average purchase is $100 (of which $50 is profit), if he buys 8 times a year and stays with you for 3 years, you net profit from this customers is $50 X 8 X 3 which equals $1,200.00 net profit. This is his Marginal Net Worth. See The Simple Secrets to Business Growth at http://www.better-n-chocolate.com, for detailed information on how to determine your customers MNW. 6. Follow up all inquiries promptly. In contemplating the reasons for this use empathy here by putting yourself in the place of your prospective customer. How long would you wait for a follow-up before you went somewhere else. We live in a society where instant gratification is demanded. We want it, and we want it now! So, if a customer has come to you, by phone or in person, get back to him while he is hot. The longer you leave it before you follow up, the colder he will get or, worse, the more likely it is that hell go to your competitor. Always follow up with useful information, advice or some benefit to him, but never solely with a blatant sales pitch. 7. In any transaction, there is a risk. For the customer the risks include that the item he buys from you will be defective, unsuitable, wont match his color scheme or some other reason. He needs assurance that the item will be repaired, replaced, exchanged or his money returned if need be. By reversing all those risks and taking them upon yourself you remove those risks from the customer. He will therefore be free of the normal transaction risks and will be more inclined to buy. Yes, you will get a few who may unfairly take advantage of your risk reversal, but youll get far more additional business than you will refunds. 8. In a disagreement with a customer, separate personal feelings from business relationships. Hurt feelings can be gotten over in a few hours, a damaged relationship can be financially disastrous and long lasting. Always listen politely to a complaint and act on it on the assumption that the customer is right (even if you feel he is wrong). Its much better to lose a little face, or a few dollars, if you can salvage and restore a business relationship. And remember this, the old man in the frayed sweater and dirty jeans may have enough cash in that shopping bag hes carrying to buy and sell you three times over. 9. There are only three ways to grow a business: get more customers, get your customers to buy more, and get them to buy more often. 10. Hidden Assets are items in your business that, on the surface have no fundamental value but which you can sell or exploit to raise cash. These can include:* disused or surplus materials, equipment, appliances or office furniture,* unused space in your warehouse, factory, office or store that you can rent out to a sub-tenant,* a good relationship with your customers (who can provide referrals or bring in new customers),* relationships with your suppliers (who may be willing to meet all or part of your advertising costs, or even supply you with stock on credit), * old merchandise that you have stashed away because you no longer handle those products,* your reputation in the community as a person or business to get free publicity through press or media releases, informative and advisory articles in local newspapers, magazines etc., radio and/or TV interviews,* component suppliers who may be willing to include you in their marketing at no cost to you or, if you are a component supplier, your customers may be willing to include you in their marketing. 2005 Leslie H F Sprankling.
